Merger and acquisition advisory firm, Stony Hill Advisors, is excited to announce that they are expanding their M&A Advisory services to Western Pennsylvania with the addition of Laurie R. Barkman.
As an M&A Advisor with Stony Hill, Laurie will guide business owners through the complex process of selling and buying businesses. Laurie is a highly accomplished business executive with more than 20 years of experience as a C-Suite and operational leader of entrepreneurial and middle-market companies.

Before joining Stony Hill Advisors, Laurie was CEO of GENCO Marketplace, a privately held recommerce logistics company acquired by FedEx Corporation (NYSE: FDX), and Managing Partner of Topanga Partners, a boutique private equity firm where she led deal sourcing, strategy, and due diligence. During her career, Laurie drove market growth and value creation initiatives at American Eagle Outfitters (NYSE: AEO), JazzHR, The Art Institutes, and Ingersoll-Rand Company (NYSE: IR). Laurie earned a Master of Business Administration from Carnegie Mellon University and a Bachelor of Science in Industrial and Labor Relations from Cornell University. She also is a Certified Value Builder Advisor and Exit Planner.
In addition to her role as an M&A Advisor with Stony Hill, Laurie is also the Founder and CEO of her company, SmallDotBig LLC, a strategic advisory firm for owners of small to mid-size companies. With SmallDotBig, Laurie provides exit and succession planning services to help owners increase the value of their business and plan ahead for future transitions.
